5th Studio album from indie mainstay Beirut, available 1st February on 4AD via Remote Control/Inertia. Produced with Gabe Wax (Speedy Ortiz, Soccer Mommy, Big Thief). Gallipoli started life when Zach Condon returned to his old Farfisa organ, the same one he used to write his first two albums, Gulag Orkestar (2006) and The Flying Club Cup (2007). Settling in Sudestudio, in rural Puglia, southern Italy, Condon rediscovered the old joys of music as a visceral experience which became the founding principle for Gallipoli. Featured across NPR, Consequence of Sound, Stereogum, Paste Magazine, SPIN, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NME and more.
